Diagnosis: 2,300 Grafts on Patient of Asian Descent

This patient is a male of Asian descent in his mid-30’s who presented with thinning throughout the entire frontal half of the scalp. The patient also had a very strong retained forelock. Like many other patients with the retained frontal forelock, it was a very distinct pattern in his family. The patient wanted to rebuild the entire frontal half of the scalp using the forelock as a starting point. Using 2,300 grafts removed via the FUT technique, we rebuilt the hairline, densely packed the frontal scalp, and strategically worked through the mid-scalp to meet and blend with his thicker native hair. The patient returned 12 months later very pleased with the transformation.
