Norwood Stage 6 hairloss. 4,500 grafts

This patient was in his mid 40s when he first visited for evaluation. He had tried medication for his hairloss but it wasn’t working (as it often doesn’t) so he decided to opt for a hair transplant. Since he had a rather large balding area and good donor area we opted to implant 4,500 grafts to rebuild his hairline and the top part of his head. While we knew we wouldn’t be able to do the entire head in one visit, we planned his surgery so that he could comb his hair back to help cover the crown after everything grew out. It worked. Every hair you see in the front and top in the “After” photos are transplanted. He did NOT take any hair loss medication such as propecia or Minoxidil.
